Launched under its Register.ie brand the new service offering is called the Total Web Presence Combo. The objective of the package is to help Irish companies to develop a complete web presence that will include expertise to enable them to market themselves more effectively on Internet search engines. Register.ie’s unique package also includes Windows web hosting and domain registration thereby providing companies with a highly reliable email and web hosting platform for their web site.
Eoin Costello, MD of Register.ie, commenting on the new service, says: “Most hosting companies put off-the-shelf software on servers and offer a service for a fixed price to get the highest volume. We believe in adding value through the skills and experience of our in-house development team.
“With the imminent public launch of Microsoft's Office Live platform (offering advertising supported free domain and hosting space) the shared hosting space will shortly come to be regarded as a complete utility . Where the offerings such as Office Live fail is on service, particularly in the web marketing area.
Mr Costello adds that Register.ie’s new offering starts with search engine optimisation because “All the thousands invested in a company’s website is worthless if no one visits it. Many people labour under the illusion that search engines will automatically seek out their site and present it to prospective customers and visitors.”
“This simply does not happen. Sites must be actively configured to have any impact in search engine results and then promoted to the search engines to ensure that they appear successfully in relevant search results. This is particularly important given that over 80 per cent of internet users find new websites via search engines,” he adds.
The new Total Web Presence Combo was launched today and can be found on www.register.ie
